The 2 things all Chiropractors have in common

And welcome to the first in a series of what I hope will be a truly eye-opening emails as I reveal to you the improvement in patient results you expect from just making some simple tweaks to your treatments.

Before I get into today’s content though, I just want to give a big shout-out to all those who attended the recent UCA conference, where I was honoured to have been asked to give 2 presentations.

I met some really good new people and reconnected with some old friend too. I really enjoyed the positivity and unashamed love of Chiropractic, it’s easy to take it for granted.

In my first session I covered an introduction to the Neurometabolic-Metabolic interface followed by Vitamin D deficiency and diagnosis, and then later I spoke about Vitamin B12.

I remember it was back in 2007 that I spent a week in Atlanta with the Institute for Functional Medicine and first learned about the relationship between Vitamin D, pain, inflammation & overall health.

The idea that a significant percentage of my patients were deficient and that this could be contributing to their clinical picture was astonishing to me.

Because the truth is that as Chiropractors there are two things we all have in common

Firstly, we all have amazing, life changing results with some of our patients through Chiropractic care. These are the stories we tend to tell each other and we should certainly celebrate them.

But what do we learn from them?

These success stories confirm what we already know, Chiropractic for some is an incredible life changing event.

But the second thing we have in common is that we all have patients that we adjust and care for who should get the same incredible result, but simply fail to respond as anticipated.

It might be a complete lack of progress or perhaps an initial modest improvement in function and symptoms then a disappointing plateau or relapse.

We all have them. The patients who tend not to turn up at clinic and tell you they are not improving. They make excuses and drop out of care, never to be seen again.

Out of sight, out of mind

But it’s these cases that we can learn most from.

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why the adjustments don’t hold if they and the care are correct?

Why does function improve but the symptoms don’t follow?

All my years of experience and study has has left me in doubt that the metabolic side of health is responsible for many of our disappointing responses to care.

That has become my obsession and passion and which is why I founded the Academy of Chiropractic Nutrition so as to get this vital, life enhancing information into the hands of as many Chiropractors as possible.

I have taken all my research, findings and 20 years of Functional medicine history and distilled it all down into step-by-step protocols, and in a few months time I am going to be launching the first online Functional medicine course specifically for Chiropractors.

But that’s only one part of the solution.

I have also developed the ‘IN Health system’, an online patient education system that complements the course and takes care of the repetitive part of treatment for you via handouts and simple videos patients can access from home.

The course will be launching in April/May 2019 with the first iteration being a Beta program so that I can fully understand what you need to help you succeed in this burgeoning, new field.

When you join the Beta program you will not only get access to the official launch version and any further updates without charge but you will also get direct access to me throughout the period of the program so I can guide you through your first treatments.

That’s all for today but stay tuned as each week I will be bringing you more insights and help over the coming weeks along with updates on when the program will be launched.
